IARC | Centre for United Nations launched the RIO Program (2012-2022) during United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD) during Rio+20 Earth Summit, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The prestigious RIO Program is the world’ widest annual short-term course and workshop series about sustainable development in context of UN Future We Want Resolution and Transforming our world: the 2030 Agenda.
Thousands of participants across hundreds of education groups participate in the international short-term RIO courses and workshops.
RIO programs has in-kind support of national & international organizations, universities and government offices.
RIO+23 International Certification Program
The RIO+23 Program 2016-17 is building momentum toward and beyond United Nations World Humanitarian Summit.
Join the Rio+23 WHS Certification Program 2016-17; it is an international short-term course study for national and international students. It is in synergy with the principles of United Nations General Assembly Resolution 46/182.
National participants can enroll through a Campus Ambassador or Coordinator while International participants can directly enroll for the program
Registration for RIO+23 International Program are closed.
The Hall of Fame winners for RIO+23 will be announced in July 2017.

Rio+22 UNSE4ALL Program
The focus area of the 2014-2015 Rio+22 program was Sustainable Energy. It was a National Level effort in the form of a short-term co-curricular program for students. It was in synergy with United Nations General Assembly (A/RES/65/151) declared Decade of Sustainable Energy for All.
Rio+22 Closure Report will be released in April 2016. The names of Rio+22 Hall of Fame 2015 winners can be accessed here.
Rio+21: IYWC Program
The focus area of the 2013-2014 Rio+21 program was Water. It was a National Level effort that primarily consisted of short-term certification courses for the public as well as school and college students.
Rio+20 Program was the self-funded initiative of Indian Astrobiology Research Centre (IARC) in association with Rio+20 to promote United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD) Rio+20 Outcome and Sustainable Development.
International Year of Biodiversity
Indian Astrobiology Research Centre was an official partner of United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) initiative The International Year of Biodiversity 2010.
