COP Program Launch, Paris–Le Bourget, France

In December 2015, France hosted the 21st Session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change otherwise known as COP21 / CMP11.

COP 21 aka Paris Climate Summit was the most critical conference of this century; it was entrusted with the aim of keeping global warming below 2°C. COP21 became a pivotal conference as over 190 countries successfully negotiated the Paris Agreement, which came into force on 04 November 2016.

COP Program (2015-2030) was formally launched on December 05, 2015 in Salle 7, Climate Generation Areas, COP 21, Paris–Le Bourget.

The launch included a lively panel discussion titled The Dharma of Climate Change. It involved people from over 20 countries. It was moderated by Pushkar Ganesh Vaidya, the head of IARC | Centre for United Nations.

The COP Program consists of lectures, workshops and short-term international courses about Climate Action in the context of UNFCCC COP Conferences and the spirit of Climate Justice.

The real responsibility begins from COP22 onward. Hence, COP22 is also referred to as the COP of Action.
