Senior Scientist, Planetary Science Institute
Dr. David Grinspoon studies surface-atmospheric interactions on terrestrial planets, atmospheric evolution and habitability, and planetary-scale human influences on the Earth system.
Prior to joining PSI in 2014, Dr. Grinspoon was the Inaugural Baruch S. Blumberg/NASA Chair of Astrobiology at the United States Library of Congress. Grinspoon is Co-I on the Chemistry of Titan Lead Team of the NASA Astrobiology Institute, Interdisciplinary Scientist Venus Express, Co-I on the RAD instrument on the Mars Science Laboratory.
Emeritus Professor, IUCAA, Pune, India
Prof. Narlikar is a proponent of steady state cosmology and had lead investigations of panspermia hypothesis. In 2004, he was bestowed with Padma Vibhushan, India’s second highest civilian honour, for his research work. Apart from his scientific research, Narlikar has been well known as a communicator of science through his books, articles, and radio & television programs. For these efforts, he was honoured in 1996 by UNESCO with the Kalinga Prize.
PSI | NASA
Dr. Henry Throop’s research interests focus on the outer solar system and beyond. He has been involved with a diverse set of topics ranging from planetary ring formation including the rings of Saturn and Jupiter, planet and star formation, astrobiology and the origins of life, and searching for (and co-discovering) Pluto’s smallest moon, Styx, in 2012. His studies include evolutionary modeling of planet formation, with verification from telescopic observations.
Development and Recognition Manager, IB, India
Priyamvada Taneja is currently the Development and Recognition Manager for India. Her work involves managing relationships with potential and existing IB schools, universities and governments and representing the interests of the IB in India. She works very closely with universities on recognition of the IB programmes for IB students in India.

Shashikumar Madhusudan Chitre is an Indian mathematician and astrophysicist, known for his research in Astronomy and Astrophysics. The Government of India honored him, in 2012, with Padma Bhushan, the third highest civilian award, for his services to the sciences.

Dr. Maheshkumar P. Purohit is one of Mumbai’ famous surgeon’ and humanitarian. He is the head of N. P. Charitable Trust. He has received several awards & accolades for his humanitarian work; in particular for undertaking a massive rescue & relief operation during the devastating earthquake that shook India on the morning of 26th January 2001.
